Review highlights

Based on 206 reviews

Moo & Bean Cafe is widely appreciated for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, supported by attentive staff and a cozy, family-run vibe. The cafe’s offerings, including fresh pastries, well-prepared sandwiches, and quality coffee, receive consistent praise. Its dog-friendly policy and scenic location near Carshalton Village add to its appeal. However, some patrons note that pricing can be on the higher side compared to nearby options, and occasional kitchen communication lapses have been mentioned. Overall, the cafe is recognized as a charming local spot with strong service and tasty menu items, though there is room for improvement in value and operational discretion.

Friendly, welcoming, lovely Danish pastry and more than a generous sprinkling of chocolate on the cappuccino.

The staff is very friendly and the food was good. We had the chicken escalope sandwich and it was very hot and tasty. I would recommend it to others.

Great coffee, lovely service. Nice view across Wrythe Green (the bit some of us old-school locals call Carshalton Village!) Will be better if they manage to calm the traffic, have a nice quiet village green. Went for a nice walk over to Wilderness Island nature reserve afterwards.

A fantastic new family-run café offering fresh cakes and food, great coffee, paired with a homely feel. A real hidden gem in Carshalton. Not to mention that it's a dog friendly business!

I’m giving 3/5* because the service was friendly and I could tell that it’s run hygienically and well intended. The pricing for a breakfast was quite a bit too high, compared to surrounding areas, it didn’t come with a tea and coffee and the eggs were well overdone. The kitchen staff were asking questions in Portuguese to the server about me that didn’t have anything to do with my service (obviously not knowing I speak the language) I would come again because the server was a gentleman but I wouldn’t order a breakfast like I would in most caffs.
